Configuring Encryption and Authentication on Lightweight Access Points

Configuring Encryption and Authentication on Lightweight Access Points

Note

Using the GUI of a Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) to configure encryption and authentication on a Lightweight AP is possible. The screenshots in these sections are taken from a Cisco 4402 WLC.

From the main page of the WLC GUI, click WLANs on the top menu bar to go to the WLAN section. If you need to create a new WLAN, click New on the upper-right hand side, enter in the WLAN ID number, profile name, and SSID, and then click Apply to move to the WLAN Edit page. Figure 6-9 shows the screen to create a new WLAN, while Figure 6-10 shows the WLANs > Edit screen.
