Zone Prefixes

Zone Prefixes

A breadth prefix determines to which breadth calls are sent. For a breadth that is controlled by a

gatekeeper, the breadth prefixes advice avenue the alarm to the adapted endpoint. The zone

prefixes (typically breadth codes) serve the aforementioned purpose as the area names in the H.323-

ID (such as gwy1@domain.com) abode space. For example, if a bounded attendant has

been configured with the ability that breadth prefix 212xxxxxxx (that is, any address

beginning with 212 and followed by seven approximate digits) is handled by attendant GK1,

such as the following:

Router(config-gk)#zone prefix GK1 212.......

Then back the bounded attendant is asked to accept a alarm to destination address

2125551111, it knows to accelerate the area appeal to GK1.
