Monitoring PAT
To monitor PAT and view the configuration settings, use the show ip pat command. When
monitoring PAT, you can view the number of packets dropped, the timeouts, and the service or
IP address using each individual TCP port. When you configure a Cisco 765 with the configuration
shown in the real-world scenario, you should see output similar to the following example
using the show ip pat command:
765:user1>show ip pat
Dropped - icmp 0, udp 0, tcp 0, map 0, frag 0
Timeout - udp 5 minutes, tcp 30 minutes
