IKE Phase 1
The purpose of IKE phase 1 is to authenticate peers, establish a secure IKE SA, and generate keys for IPsec for the secure communication. This is accomplished with IPsec peers agreeing on IKE parameters, exchanging keying material, and authenticating each other.
