Wireless Configuration Parameters
The 802.11 standard specifies several configuration parameters, which are set in the radio card or
the access point (or both). Figures G-5 and G-6 show wireless configuration screens of an access
point. To optimize performance and security of a wireless LAN, you must choose configuration
settings that best satisfy application requirements. Most of these configurations apply to the access
points, but some settings are necessary on the radio cards within the end-user devices.
