Figure 4-21 Configuring Global QSIG Support Topology Example
In this example, you have been asked to configure a T1 controller for a voice gateway
with a connection type of PRI using time slots 1 through 24.
You can use the following steps to configure global QSIG support for BRI or PRI.
Step 1. Configure the global ISDN switch type to support QSIG signaling.
Step 2. Configure the DSP farm at the specified slot/port.
Step 3. Specify the card type (T1 or E1) at the specified slot so the router provides
sufficient DSP resources.
Example 4-17 and Example 4-18 illustrate the global QSIG support configurations for
both a BRI and a PRI connection, respectively.
Example 4-17 Global QSIG Support Configuration for BRI
Router(config)#isdn switch-type basic-qsig
Example 4-18 Global QSIG Support Configuration for PRI
Router(config)#isdn switch-type primary-qsig
Router(config)#card type t1 0
