This server type supports only NetBEUI
and its upper layer protocol, NetBIOS. NetBEUI does not support routing, however. It is a
simple protocol and negates the need for addressing. NetBEUI might provide the best performance
for a single connection, but it cannot scale and, given the demands on the network, it’s
probably best to use PPP.
The remainder of this section focuses on the rest of the options on the Server Types tab for
a PPP server type.
